Top ten pubs 2010

Click on a month to see our top ten pubs of the month for 2010

2010 saw the departure of a lot of good pubs (and some that weren’t so good), but the ones that have kept on are still keeping standards up. And a crop of new pubs joined the scene, and real ale’s on the menu again!

Some of our favourites this year included:

Lord Clyde, Highbury
Churchill Arms, Notting Hill
Colton Arms, Hammersmith
Windsor Castle, Marble Arch
Rosemary Branch, Hoxton
Cockpit, St Paul’s
Ye Olde Mitre Tavern, Farringdon
Nag’s Head, Knightsbridge
The Dove, Hackney

The Wenlock Arms, City Road

New arrivals and some new favourites included:

Southampton Arms, Tufnell Park
Jolly Butcher, Stoke Newington
The Draft House, Bermondsey
Euston Tap, Euston
White Hart, Sevenoaks
Old Brewery, Greenwich

Way too many to choose from, but these are exceptional.

And with news of more pubs concentrating on real ale in the new year, 2011 could prove a bumper year, too!
