I have visited the Bell many times & have never been disappointed with any of the beautifully kept ales they serve. The staffs are always friendly & tend to the needs of their locals & visitors alike. The atmosphere during an evening of music is friendly & energetic. It is a great place to be, whether during the Summer or Winter,as the walled garden is open when sunny, covered when rainy & the open fire is warm during the cold evenings. If you just fancy a pint, or a coffee, with uncomplicated food in an unfussy setting,I recommend The Bell for all of the above.

Butcombe Bitter 4% - The West Country’s favourite beer derives from pure Mendip Spring Water…notably bitter, clean tasting, refreshingly dry and distinctive. Made with 100% best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls Royce of malts), together with a blend of (never divulged) English hop varieties…Butcombe Bitter is a moreish Mendip masterpiece!

Butcombe Rare Breed 4.2% - Adam Henson's Rare Breed combines a shared passion for farming and brewing. Cotswold farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson has worked in partnership with Butcombe Brewery to bring together the finest West Country ingredients - Maris Otter malting barley, aromatic Herefordshire hops and Mendip spring water, combined with a sprinkling of the delicious, fruity Cascade hop, to create this distinctive, refreshing, and clean-tasting golden ale.

Butcombe Gold (occasionally) 4.4% - A refreshing golden bitter brimming with character…not to mention citrus hops and fruit. Made with 100% Maris Otter malt, and brewed using a single variety hop…English Fuggles. A malty fresh vitality gives way to a full bitter sweet finish…pure Gold!

Bellringer 4.2% - Notably hoppy ale which is light to medium-bodied, clean-tasting, refreshingly dry, with a balancing sweetness. Citrus, pale malt aroma and dry, bitter finish. Consistent. Amber gold in colour.

Danish Dynamite 5% - Brewed at OG 1048 and ABV 5.0%. A light golden, dry, strong ale, slightly fruity with a well balanced hop flavour and bitterness - simply a Top Class Beer which has won several major beer festivals.

Gem 4.1% - With its rich aroma of hops and malt, and a long, deep, bittersweet finish, we've carefully crafted Gem into an exceptional best bitter.
Pitchfork 4.3% - The name comes from the Pitchfork rebellion of 1685 the last battle to be fought on English soil of the Civil War.
A golden bitter with floral citric hop aroma. It has a hoppy predominate taste which is slightly sweet and fruity and leaves you wanting more.
Otter Ale 4.5% - A premium beer's alcohol content should always be high enough to enable a perfect balance with flavour and aroma. Otter Ale is a very well balanced beer that delivers the flavours of quality floor malted barley and finishes with a combination of fruit and some bitterness. Its nose is a balance of malt and fruit.
Summer Lightning 5% - A trendsetter in the brewing industry; the original Summer ale brewed all year round. An extremely pleasant bitter, straw coloured beer with a terrific fresh, hoppy aroma. This, coupled with an intense bitterness, leads to an excellent long, dry finish. Probably the beer to receive the most awards in Britain!
