So, in terms of Beaconsfield - this is a pub! A rare item indeed where even the Saracen's Head (an ex-Beefeater) thinks it's a Gastro! But the (Old White) Swan is still clinging to its' pub roots with three ales on (Rebellion and a couple of rotating guests) and a wide selection of Premium Lagers (Peroni being one of these) and on a weekend evening the place is all out drinkers.
Food is good - well priced and good portions and the welcome and attentiveness of the staff is really good. I guess the only fear is that this also becomes a faux restaurant instead of even more pub-like?
One other thing - the garden is a hidden gem and worth visiting when good weather strikes...eventually.
