Great Pub and brewery attached - very good food and fine selection of their own beers brewed next door since 1642 and now served in very pleasant surroundings.
Good place to start and also finish walking in the fantastic countryside hereabouts - if I were you then I'd sink a few pints after a long walk and stop over. What pubs should be all about.
