The Plough Inn, Brackenfield
FancyaPint?'s review...
This traditional coaching inn - in a 16th century listed building no less - makes a far effort towards keeping the tradition of providing victuals for the passing traveller alive. It's in a small village away from the most visited spots of the Peak District, so for obvious economic reasons its primary focus is on providing food (solid pub fare), but it's a pleasant and atmospheric place to stop in for a pint if you're passing that way; in fact, with several local micro-brewed ales on offer it would seem rude not to.
