Colonnade, Brighton
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Colonnade is a small but charming and timeless bar, right next to the Theatre Royal. From the lovely original tiling, to the plush interior, filled with a surfeit of red velvet and dark wood, the place radiates class. There is plenty of theatre memorabilia and photos of old stars inside while the seats outside afford a good view of the royal Pavilion through the trees. The service is friendly, while the Harvey's we tried was in good condition. Being essentially a theatre bar, a bell indicates when its time to get back to watch the second part of the show. Understandably it gets completely rammed during the interval and pretty busy before and after performances, so it's perhaps advisable to time your visit to avoid these times.

How to find the Colonnade pub
From the main station walk straight down Queen Street and take Church Street which is the fourth turning on the left. The fourth turning on the right is then New Walk and the bar is on the right.
