The Seven Stars is a trendified pub in central Brighton, that's obviously part of Young's repositioning of it's bars, we were pleasantly surprised as this one works much better than a lot of their conversions, and works well for Brighton. Flock wallpaper, mix and match chandeliers and original features like the open fires and the encaustic tiles in the floor near the middle of the bar make it a very relaxing place to go. Combined with an easy-going clientele, it seems that it's getting a lot right. Young's beers on the taps, decent wine list and a good pub menu, this one pushes a lot of buttons. It's a great place to meet up, assuming you can find it, and worth going a little bit out of the way for.

How to find the Seven Stars pub

Come out of the train station and you are confronted with two near parallel streets straight ahead. Take the one on the left, Queens Road, and carry on until you reach Duke Street. Turn left and carry on until it bends around and turns into Ship Street. The pub is ahead on the right.
