This is a lovely back street pub with comfy sofas, good beer and an open fire. Friendly staff and locals, this pub has a lot going for it and the decor's easy on the eyes with stripped floors and a shelf of books near the fire. There's a decent wine list, pizza on the menu and the promise of Sunday Roast. It has something about it, which combines all of the best things from some of our favourite pubs. It's a great place and worth the effort to go out of your way for. And, if you need more incentive, they do happy hour between 5 and 7.

Lively locals pub with live music and a regular student crowd. They do an excellent Sunday roast and good beer. It is great to stand outside on a warm evening and it can get quite busy in the street - have been moved inside before though because of complaints from the neighbours. Cozy open fires in the winter.

Lively local pub with live music and a regular crowd. Nice to stand out in the street on a summer evening - although we have sometimes moved inside because of complaints from the neighbours. They do an excellent Sunday roast.
