The Fountain Head, Brighton
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Fountain Head is an interesting contemporary bar/pub/thing, that's handy for the shops. It's obvious they know who their customers are, as they've got normal hours for kids to accompany their parents, normally during the day. It's got good beer, a decent wine list (they've got their own wine buyer, so it should be good) and they know how to make a cocktail - one of our party wanted a Virgin Mary and they made it properly, shaker and all. The food looks good, too, if a bit eclectic: Mexican, burgers, toasties and a decent Sunday roast. Twinned with the Jolly Butchers down the road, it's a good place to go and meet your mates. They even have board games including a version of "Shut the Box". It's generally busy, and the clientele changes of an evening - no children for a start - and we can see why. Give it a go.
