The Great Eastern, Brighton
FancyaPint?'s review...
Quirky doesn't explain this one - a pub named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel's great masterpiece of a ship combined with a selection of over 60 American Bourbons and a mostly Cajun menu. It works, bizarrely, and is popular with the locals and is proving a winner. The decor just combines it all - it's got a low ceiling, combined with a wall of fake books and prints of the Great Eastern. Combine all that with a wine list that won't quit and a good selection of beers and it's quite a success. Lets hope they keep up the good work.
