The Hampton, Brighton
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Hampton is a popular, modern pub in the Montpelier & Clifton area of Brighton. There seems to be a strong emphasis on food - well, at least there were plenty of people eating on our Friday evening visit, but it is still a proper pub, too. A darkly lit and rather ramshackle atmosphere is complimented by fast and friendly service, even if they need to make more effort collecting glasses and wiping tables. We counted five ales on our last visit, with two from the nearby Dark Star brewery, while the wine list was pretty good too. There is also a nice heated beer garden and a useful late licence. Overall, a solid, enjoyable pub.
