Claiming to be Brighton's "original rock bar", it doesn't really disappoint. Lots of live music with the alternative clientele to match, and a jukebox that fits quite nicely with it - to be honest, it's not just a bar, it's an experience. Okay, if you're not into any of the scene, it's probably not the place for you. With Wychwood's beers on the taps, and the usual range of spirits and alcopops, the drink selection meets the needs of the clientele, but won't stretch any boundaries. There is a pool table at the back, near the tiny stage, but it's under cover - probably got in the way of the bands. Still, it does what it says on the tin, really, and you could do far worse. Now, if only we can get that pounding out of our heads...
