Situated beside the deeply running river Avon below a steeply wooded bank, this lovely bar is a haven of tranquility. There is a monthly quiz, a monthly open mic evening and live music. The decking and marquee area make it a unique location for various functions. There's an annual beer festival (BeerFest09 has just passed), children's entertainment or you can just sit back and watch the ferries moor up alongside. The owners are friendly, children and dogs are welcome, although as it's right next to the river some caution is recommended. The Conham Ferry, a small 'boat' which holds around 6-8 people runs between the Hanham side of the river to the Tea Gardens - just ring the bell at the side of the river and the boat will come. Good food and a unique setting, with breakfasts available on a Sunday from 10:00 am until 11.30 am.
