Famous Royal Naval Volunteer, Bristol
FancyaPint?'s review...
This pub in a listed 17th century building in the heart of Bristol. Friendly staff, regularly rotating guest beers on the five hand pumps, makes this a good place to go if you're in the area. Combine this with a folk night (called a "sea shanty/Irish jam session") and weekly karaoke sessions, presented by John of Bristol, and you get a flavour of the kind of place it is. The beers good and it's not a terrible place to go - it still gets regular punters from the local offices, and they all seem to have a good time. Worth visiting, but if you don't like folk music, avoid Tuesdays.
