This Slug and Lettuce is a good notch on the belt of this national chain. It's a huge place, with lots of space for drinkers and those wishing to eat. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, providing table service - at least when you're eating. We were last in on a Monday and it was predictably quiet, but there were a few groups scattered through the pub. They don't have a huge selection of beer, with Bombardier the only beer on the taps, but real ale drinkers probably aren't their core customer base, judging by the numerous lagers and ciders on the other taps. Another reason to go on a Monday - the food's 50% off! We suspect from the setup and the large beer garden that it gets much busier later in the week, and so it should too.
