It could have been a great pub, but sadly it ends marked down as 'mediocre'. The Bull is a large, Harvester-style semi-country pub, which benefits from a large garden and a vaguely comfy olde worlde style interior. The food is edible and good value, but nothing outstanding, being your usual corporate catering fodder but the McMullen's ales were up to their usual standard. Our Sunday visit found it filled with an predominantly with local young people. Sportswear or short skirts were the overriding uniform and the car park filled with cars adorned with plastic accoutrements - rear wings were much in evidence, presumably to prevent these little cars taking off in flight when driven at speed. The choice in Broxbourne is limited and as such the Bull is acceptable for a couple of drinks.

Very young yobbish customer base. Expensive, awful cold and overpriced food. Poor service and souless atmosphere.
