All that you could wish for in a traditional pub,first licensed in 1834. Roaring log fire in winter, lovely patio sun trap in better weather, large grassed garden for families with a hidden tree walk.Cask marque ales for the adults, 5 star kitchen serving good home made traditional pub food. Good Beer guide 2011 and 2012, runner up in CAMRA Best Pub of the Year 2010. A homely feel in part of Englands Heritage...A Good Pub! probably biased but none the less all ive said is true. I have visited this pub on several occasions and never been disappointed. Good pub food, good real ales and a friendly welcome from the hosts. The pub has a large car park and child friendly garden. Well worth a repeated visit in my opinion.

Open all day Saturday and Sunday.
Mon-Fri 12-2.30, 17.00-23.00pm
We now open 09:00 to 12:00 for our Breakfast menu to be served - Mon to Saturday
12.00 we start serving from our Lunch menu and
our specials board
Evening meals are served from 6 o'clock and finish at 8 o'clock on Tues, Weds and Thursdays.
Friday and Saturday evenings meals are served until
9 o'clock
Our Sunday Roasts are served between 12 noon and 3pm, (last orders are taken at 2.45)
Please check opening times with the pub before making a special journey.
