Partridge Inn, Singleton
FancyaPint?'s review...
This country pub is over 200 years old, so you'd expect wooden beams and tiled floors, and you'd be right. With candles on the tables and no music, it's more a pub for quiet conversations or meals, rather than Party Central - you might end up a bit bored if you come on your own, so bring friends! We visited on a Tuesday evening, but suspect the weekend crowd will mainly be eating. The Harveys Best was good quality - and should be for £3 a pint - but this isn't overly expensive for Sussex. There's nothing particularly unusual in the drinks range, but what's there is done well. Worth popping in if you're visiting the open air museum down the road, but watch the bus times - there's a two hour gap after 18:15 on Saturdays, and the last bus on Sundays is at 18:51.
