In a rather lusciously green part of Chislehurst adjacent to Chislehurst Caves and close to the station, at first The Bickley Arms looks quite promising, but we left disappointed. Despite the attractive looking building there's actually not a lot to impress here really and it's a little run down. With bog standard drinks and food, the garden would be quite a nice attraction, except that it smells - the pleasant surroundings are the one thing in this pub's favour.

A 2005 review proves to be very misleading as the image, style, clientele - all - has changed. This establishment features an a la carte menu of quality [even for a vegetarian!] and all traces of its past reputation have disappeared. There is even a very special and unusual option for parties of 12 plus who give 48 hrs. notice to have a full pig roast! This pub deserves a totally fresh appraisal so give it a go! It is quite impressive!
