Formerly the oddly-named Arty P's, we came here expecting much the same as before - the same bar but a different name - but this wasn't the case. Located a short stroll off Dorking's High Street, Red Bar & Lounge appears to be filling a gap in the market for Dorking's drinkers. If you're not under 25, prefer the finer things in life and like a decent bite to eat with your drink, it's perfect. For the sunny days there's a large outdoor deck with comfortable wicker/cushioned furniture and umbrellas whilst the inside is a smart combination of varnished wood and shiny leather couches. And imagine our delight when we found three excellently-kept ales on pump - two from the local Dark Star Brewery and a Harveys. The staff were welcoming and efficient during our visit and it ticked all of the right boxes. They were also advertising live music and comedy if that's your thing. If you want a great pint, plenty of comfy chairs and somewhere to relax, this is probably one of your better bets in Dorking.

cracking little bar, good selection of lagers, fantastic food, friendly staff, really good place just to chill and chat. Check it out, you won't be disappointed
