The Bush, Dorking
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Bush is one of those places that you need to know before you go. We've always given our custom to Dorking's other boozers but were pleasantly surprised with our visit here. Your reason for going here would be to have a more lively night out than usual. There's plenty to keep you entertained if sitting quietly and enjoying a pint isn't your cup of tea. There's two pool tables, two dart boards, a decent juke box (lots of country music when we were last in for some reason) and a quiz machine. It appears to make no apologies for its rather brash image and I think that's worth respecting. It's got an image it wants to portray and it does it very well. Sadly when we were last in here there were no ales on pump so we had to opt for the lager. The clientelle appeared to be a young lively bunch with a penchant for tracksuits and football shirts but they were friendly enough. Pint-rating-wise, we're sure it's between a 2 and a 3 but can't give halves, so because we had a fun night here, it gets a 3.
