Mulligan's, Dublin
FancyaPint?'s review...
Tucked away on a side street from the din of Dublin traffic, and in an uninspiring spot near the river, Mulligan's quietly goes about its business. It's a superb pub, another that's survived the wrecking ball and serial redevelopment of Dublin city centre. Mulligan's is the pub pared down to the essentials: a dark, spare interior with deep cream and dark brown wood that's like drinking inside a pint of stout. It's an old-fashioned place - snuff on sale, racing on the TV and mobile phone use banned inside. This refreshingly lack of frills leaves you in peace, whether you want to scan a paper, chat or simply stare into space.
