The New Inn is aimed fairly and squarely at the student market, although ironically, on our late-afternoon visit, there were very few people who appeared to be in only their second decades - perhaps they were mature students. However, this shouldn't comes as surprise given the pub's proximity to all the colleges around here. Offering a wide range of drink, especially that student favourite - cider - with loads of TVs, games machines (including Spiderman pinball), cheap grub, deals and discounts, the New Inn cheerfully entertains it's main market. The whole is served in a jolly interior, with bright colours and retro refurnishings. Outside there's a heated area with brollies for smokers and fresh-air fiends. And there you have it - the New Inn is a pub mostly for the younger drinker, if you're young-at-heart, you may also have a good time here too.
