Harbour Inn, Leith
FancyaPint?'s review...
Leith may get all the attention on the coast north of Edinburgh, but dotted along the seashore are other interesting places. Just up the estuary, lies an area called Newhaven, where there's a small harbour and an old fish market (now restaurants) and here you'll find the Harbour Inn. It's a lively, friendly little pub, with regular, popular live music events, a monthly quiz and decent beer. When the music isn't on there is often sport on TV and at any time you'll probably end up chatting to a local. The beer is decent enough, the service prompt and friendly and the welcome warm. On the rare days when the weather is warm enough, you can sit outside and admire the view of the Firth of Forth. An excellent little book that deserves a lot more attention.
