This is a charming pub and its diminutive size and mews location makes it quite unique amongst Edinburgh's pubs. Small it may be, but they still manage to stock 6 real ales and over 30 whiskys. Popular for watching big rugby and footy games, the rugby theme shows what'll win in a head to head. If you are lucky, there's seating at the bar or at wee tables under the enormous whisky barrels that dominate the main bar. There is also the snug library bar tucked away at the back. No food is served, but you'll find the range of drink, open fire, friendly locals and excellent service are food enough, for the soul at least.
