We've known this one for a couple of decades now and only recently discovered that it's novelist Ian Rankin's favourite pub (apparently). Can't say we're surprised as it's one of our favourites as well. One we haven't seen change in a long time - which is a good thing. It's a lovely pub and friendly, both in customers and staff - lovely barmaids and well on top of things. Very nice and we'll be back. One can also imagine Rebus propping up one end of the bar...
