We're not sure why everyone's over the road at the Worlds end - this is far superior and more comfortable and pleasant to be in. The friendly staff agreed with us and provided very good beer - with their own 80% on the pumps. The beer and atmosphere alone makes this our pub of choice down this end of the Royal Mile. The hot pies and scotch eggs (wee ones and big ones) to go with the bar snack selection are just up our street, too. We'll definitely be coming back, not least to see some of the live music that's on!
