Another one that's changed a bit since our last visit. Okay, it's still recognisable as a pub, but it's now got a seating area for those wishing to eat from the fairly standard pub menu - also available in the bar. It seems smaller than we remember! Decent enough, but it's position on the Royal Mile does guarantee a regular contingent of visitors, at least in tourist season. It's okay, but there having been to the Tass as well, we'd go back there first. Malt of the month and of the moment - good choices when we were in last: Isle of Jura and old Pulteney, respectively. We're always a little worried when a pub has it's own merchandise...
