A good pub - noticeably better than it used to be as a managed house several years ago. Good beer - Hogsback TEA, TT Landlord and Otter were on when we were there all of which were fine.
One of our party had some food - Chicken Pie - which was generous in terms of portion and good value. Took a little time to arrive though.
The only minor criticism was that early doors it was quiet -both in terms of customers using the pub and also in lacking a bit of atmosphere - but I suspect it is better the later in both the week and evening it gets.
Would have no issue recommending a visit and a beer as long as you can park that is.
