Overview
The Anchor Inn is a beautiful 300 year old pub, just a few minutes walk from Faversham town centre at the terminus of Abbey Street, one of the finest preserved medieval streets in England, and very close to the historic Faversham creek. Some of the beams in the pub are reported to be from the old Abbey in Faversham.
The pub is open all day and serves food at lunchtimes and evenings. The regular menu offers outstanding pub food with a modern slant, and there is a dining room named ‘The Crab Shack’ specialising in fish and seafood.
With the largest variety of Shepherd Neame real ales in Faversham plus live music every Sunday evening and a peaceful garden, The Anchor is well-worth seeking out and a great place to stop when enjoying a stroll through historic Faversham or a peaceful walk or cycle along the creekside.

Detailed Description
A quirky surprise awaits within this traditional looking pub - the Anchor Crabshack and Grill. Don't expect run of the mill pub grub. As the name implies, the menu is heavy on seafood and crab in particular served several ways. The grill section of the menu covers corn fed chicken, bangers and wagyu beef burgers. Dogs are welcome in the bar and garden where food is also available. The first two weeks in August each year is outdoor theatre season and this years productions of 'allo 'allo and The Ruling Class are proving as popular as ever. Faversham hop festival follows in September with outdoor live music, bbq and general frivolity.
The live music tradition is alive and well every Sunday evening - come for Sunday lunch and stay on to hear some great music from great musicians.
