It might be a 17th century coaching inn, but if we're honest the outside looks a little plain. As such, we were more than happy to find a proper traditional pub on the inside. Low ceilings, wooden beams, little cosy nooks and crannies, brass knickknacks on the wall and lovely views over rolling farmland were all here to enjoy. The landlord was cheerful and attentive while the regulars were amiable. There was no food to speak of, barring Sunday lunch, but a trio of ales and Addlestones cider filled the libation criteria pretty well. If you're passing through the village of Fobbing, pop in and give them your custom.

Lovely pub, ruined by the landlord. The wrong food turned up because he wrote my order down incorrectly, and when I pointed out his error he called me a liar - apparently whatever he writes down is what you said, no matter what you actually said. Just plain rude. Heard same complaint from others, so wait until he's out on his ear before frequenting this otherwise nice old boozer.
