If you hadn't had enough of Mr Wetherspoon's woeful efforts up in the main departure lounge of Gatwick's North Terminal then this is your last chance to get something to steady your nerves. The name says it all; Wetherspoon Express: a title which is literally the antithesis of what being a pub is about. It reduces the idea to the lowest common denominator. 'The Last Chance Saloon' would have been a better name, in a number of ways. Or perhaps just call it Booze4u. It escapes a zero rating as it's still preferable to the rip off prices charged on certain budget airlines which use the departure gates in this area - you can even buy a take out 'meal deal' for under a fiver. In the end, this reviewer was just grateful not to be arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act for acting suspiciously by getting a picture of this one.
