The Cricketers Inn is a decent village boozer. It's a no-frills sort of pub that has a bit of something for everyone. There's a couple of pretty good ales on the hand pumps - Woodfordes Wherry and Mighty Oak Maldon on our visit, the usual beers and lagers on tap and in bottles and a cheap and plentiful pub menu. It's an old(ish) pub with modern(ish) furnishings, including a decked area outside for sunny days and smokers. It's a spick-and-span place, the service is polite and friendly and the space divided between enough rooms to ensure you and your mates will get a secluded spot to socialise in. Whilst we wouldn't say the Cricketers is worthy of a major detour, if you're passing by, it's worth popping in.
