The Prince of Wales is an attractive looking pub on the edge of the picture postcard village Green Tye. It's rather small inside and decked out in an unfussy, traditional style. When you arrive at out-of-the-way pubs such as this, there's always a risk of entering the unknown: you don't know whether you're going to receive a 1000 yard stare or greeted by a jolly landlord. Here, however, the older gentlemen propping up the bar actually smiled and made space for us to order our drinks. Speaking of drink, there was a very good selection of ales and cider from smaller breweries - none smaller than the Green Tye brewery, which produces 'Union Jack' bitter in the large shed at the back, next to the car park. A dart board and pleasant grassed beer garden top off this worthwhile four pint rated pub.

This pub offers the traditional english pub that most people like. From the beams to the yard of ale that sits above the bar, you can't fault this pub for being one of these modern pubs that are taking over the drinking spots across our country.
The pub offers two beers that are on permanantly: their own brewed Union Jack (3.6%) which is a traditional ale, and Henrys IPA (Wadworths, also 3.6%). They vary two guest ales, which are usually higher in percentage and lighter in colour, which offers a great variation amongst beers. Hadham Gold (4.0%) which is light and refreshing, and i can say, i think it is one of the best light ales i have ever drunk.
Not only does this pub have a great selection of beer (and various other ciders, lagers etc), it also offers a beautiful beer garden, large car park, fantastic views, and a communal feel. It is a highly regarded pub amongst the local community.
It also holds two beer festivals per year, which are always brimming with people. For more information they have a website
Fantastic pub, worth anyones money!!!
