Typical. You wait ages for one Davy's Wine Bar and then two come along at once. A handful of street numbers down from Skinkers, another in the chain, Cooperage seems a little less restauranty than its neighbour and sibling. The usual flagstoned floor, barrels-for-tables approach is in full force here, helped considerably by the authentic location underneath one of railway arches leading to London Bridge. There is the expected strong selection of wines, along with decent if rather expensive selection of ale, including their own Old Wallop usually served in pewter tankards. Service was very good and a decent selection of traditional dishes and sandwiches is offered to soak up the booze. Understandably, this place gets packed after work with the suited brigade, especially towards the end of the week. Still, an afternoon or late evening finds it a pretty decent place to spend your time.
