The Brook House is a large, popular pub in the hinterland of Yeading. There are two separate bars (one small and underpopulated, the other big and busy) along with a large grassy beer garden, which appeared to be doubling as a crèche on our visit. And it was this observation which left us with our impressions; it was clear to see a microcosm of local life being played out here, with the grown-ups watching the footy and the kiddies running around playing - an obvious routine for the regulars, possibly weekend in, weekend out. The choice of drinking establishments in this part of the world isn't great (pretty awful, in fact) and the Brook House serves a useful purpose for the local community, in a no nonsense, lager drinking sort of way. We can't vouch for the atmosphere in the evenings when there's often live music, but on the basis of our visit, its fine for the locals, but not one to go out of your way for.
