This pub is the only one now remaining in the vicinity, as the two others which were nearby have now been demolished. It is a good honest traditional pub.

The Heath Tavern is a traditional pub and very popular with the locals; one of the last 'proper' pubs left in the area that doesn't serve food. It has real ale, sky TV and a pool table and is about 20 minutes from the train station and only five minutes on foot from the main high street. It is known for its friendly atmosphere and it had a warm and welcoming feel to it.
