This is the sort of place that makes us concur with Mr Burns (not the one from the Simpsons) as to the location of our hearts - here, in the Highlands. This fine establishment is spread over two floors, with a different atmosphere, and choice of musical accompaniment (with live music on most nights): in the words of the sign outside: "Rock upstairs, reel downstairs": if you fancy getting a bit more active and stripping the willow, ceilidhs are held downstairs on Saturday afternoons. Booze-wise, you get a choice of quite a few decent beverages, real ales, including, when we visited, one made with heather, and whiskeys galore. Thai food is served. One strange thing: this bar has a sister branch in one of the places in the UK as unlike Inverness as its possible to imagine: in Brixton, South London.
