This is a pretty good music pub directly across the street from the train station. They have live music virtually every night, and their own darts team! It's not huge inside - the performing area takes a good chunk of the main bar area - but its still a fairly traditional pub inside. At least they seem to have lost the pool table that took up the space to the right of the bar. The massive garden is a boon in good weather but that said, the covered booths at the back should make it palatable whatever the weather. It promises a great deal on the real ale front, with eight or ten taps on the bar, but sadly there were only two on when we were in last. We suspect it gets busy at nights, but was surprisingly free of travellers when we were in last - perhaps its too hard to get there across the busy road from the station - on our afternoon visit. Still, if you're willing to risk it, its a pretty good place to wait for that train.
