Abercorn Arms, Teddington
FancyaPint?'s review...
As Young's continue the roll out of their revamped pubs, it's worth remembering some of the masterful old boozers that they own. Located in the depths of suburban Teddington, the Abercorn has all the ingredients of a classic pub: long-standing clientele, fine beers, friendly staff and an interesting interior. Warm and welcoming, it's the sort of place where cartoons of the regulars dominate the wall space and everything clicks into place - even the alcoves for the pool table and the dart board blend in seamlessly. Oh, and note the sign outside for 'world class omelettes': they ain't kidding. If only every part of London had a local as good as this one.
