This one's been here a few years and it proved popular with the local workers - the usual City crowd from the financial institutions spread around it. What puzzles us slightly is that not long ago, another one opened not two minutes away nearer Liverpool Street. Obviously they know their market. Anyway, the usual All Bar One formula of wooden floors and open space holds sway here, making it unlikely for that quiet chat or discreet liaison. It gets bloody noisy at peak times, to the point where you can barely order a drink over it. But hey, it's an All Bar One, what do you want?

From Moorgate: take the Moorgate exit and turn left toward Finsbury Square. Cross the first intersection and the pub is up on the next corner on the left. From Liverpool Street, go through the arcade of shops at station level. This takes you out into a plaza with a large rusty sculpture in the middle. Go past the rust up the steps and bear right along Eldon Street. Proceed down Eldon Street, past the Red Lion and then past the Marks and Spencer's on the corner. Turn right and the pub is up on the corner across the road on the left.
