The Artillery is one of the real pubs in the Square Mile and hasn't really changed in the last decade. Oh, it's had a bit of a tidy-up and a lick of paint, but it hasn't lost it's appeal. It's old, kind of small, serves a good range Fuller's beers, as well as decent pub grub - the fish finger sarnie is a particular favourite of ours. It's still an oasis on the fringes of the City, and one of the few in this neck of the woods you'll find open at weekends. And if you're interested in London history, particularly cemeteries, it's right across the road from Bunhill Fields (hence the address) where several notables are buried, including Daniel Defoe, William Blake and John Bunyan.
