The Bedford is the sort of pub one could easily pass by on the street without noticing, and once you're inside you may wish you'd done just that. The bitter was off, the pool table vociferously guarded by a large dog, and the only other people in the bar were a family with a small child running loose and an old man asleep in one corner. As for the d�cor... well, let's just say you're left in no doubt that the owners of the bar are a) Irish and b) Arsenal supporters. For the sake of fairness, this is probably a jolly local to some, as indicated by the spooky memorial chair to a deceased drinker, and there's a piano for singsongs, if you're feeling foolhardy (and can get past the Alsatian). The current landlords have apparently only been in situ for a couple of weeks, explaining the lack of beer, so there may be hope for the Bedford yet. Don't hold your breath, though.

The Bedford Tavern is a pub which buzzes with alot of lively people and plays a range of music. The owners are really friendly and provide a great service, they always make sure you have a drink in your hand and your having a good time. The rota for the pool table is friendly and everyone gets along with eachother and everyone has a fair chance to have a round on it. The pub also turns into a mini club around midnight and thats when the party really kicks off. I must say i had a great time there and i definitely will go back again soon! The people there were friendly and so were the landlords. I would definitely recommned this pub to anyone who wants to have a nice fun and casual drink out with a few mates without going to a club.
