Belushis, for all its sins, often seems rather like a less trashy Walkabout. While that may not be high praise by any means, it is a perfectly acceptable destination in its own right. By virtue of its location, it aims squarely at tourists, the after work crowd and weekend drinkers in equal measure - the exclusively high-level seating becomes understandable when you know this fairly small space can get very busy at peak times. Despite this, the service is usually pretty efficient and the décor - walls filled with posters of rock stars - isn't bad at all, in a scruffy kind of way. Not one for a pint of real ale and a good book, if you like loud, busy places and a young, fun crowd, but don't want to feel you're drinking in a someone's else idea of a good time (i.e. compulsory fun at Walkabout), then it might just fit the bill.
