Black Prince, Kennington
FancyaPint?'s review...
This trad pub in the middle of what feels like estates has had a makeover and from what we can see they're doing a bang-up job. Friendly landlord was quick to take our order tearing himself away from polishing the brass - the even friendlier locals took over, probably hoping for free drinks with a bit of labour, and they're probably right. There's a very pleasant outdoor space at the back which is a fine place to enjoy a sunny afternoon with a few pints of the well-kept ales on the pumps. The beers all seemed to be from the Wells and Young's stable, with the addition of Deuchars for those who like something a little lighter. Well worth a look if you're in the area and we'll be going back at the first opportunity.

After hearing it is under new management I popped in the other day and was amazed at the transformation from a tired old down and out pub into a Pub the area needs. Great choice of Real Ales, and the Pork Belly I ate was wonderfull.
Good to see the new owners running it themselves and not put a manager in,a refreshing change.Thoroughly recommended

Kennington: Exit the tube, turn left then cross the road. When you get to Cleaver Square walk all the way through the Square and Cleaver Street until you see the Dog House across the junction to your right. The Black Prince is beyond that, over the road.
