Although from the same flock as the Black Sheep in Oval, there are enough distinguishing features to tell this one apart. For a start, there's more emphasis on the cocktail list here, and given the row of soft furnishings on the back wall, the overall feel is certainly more bar than pub. There's also an eye-catching carved wooden bar to order your drinks at, and a sunken garden tucked away at the back to enjoy them in. Unfortunately though, all these elements didn't really add up to much on our visit, and they were few other drinkers at the Black Sheep when we stopped by. Perhaps we caught it at the wrong time, but judging from our time here, we can only mark it as a 2 pinter.

How to find the Black Sheep pub

From Crystal Palace station, turn left and walk down to Anerley Road. Then, turn right and walk up the steep hill to the roundabout. Cross over the road, keep the Westow House bar to your left and head down Anerley Hill - the bar is further down on your right hand side.
