Blackbird, Earl's Court
FancyaPint?'s review...
Fuller's Ale and Pie Houses have proven a reasonable ploy by the brewery chain, resulting in a good standard of beer and food in places that don't always warrant it. While they're not always our favourite places to drink, they can often be a good place to meet and have something to eat before going elsewhere. Another Victorian building, the interior's been kept up, the beer's kept to Fuller's high standards and the staff are friendly and efficient. As it's located in the heart of an area with a high tourist content, of course you get some of them in, but the atmosphere is pretty tolerant. And, located so near Earl's Court station, it does attract commuters, so avoid it at peak times. Oh, and there's other things on the menu besides pie, you'll be happy to know.

This pub wound up being our base camp for the recent trip that I took to London with two other pals. The pies at the Blackbird are not to be missed - both the Fisherman's and the Blackbird Special are killer! The bar staff are all warm and friendly folk who helped make us feel welcome. Five stars! Thanks, Blackbird!
