Most people have heard of this pub, thanks to an infamous incident in 1966 and some even make a trip to see it just for that reason. When they get here, they will find a decent, ordinary boozer that serves the locals well, but it's nothing out of the ordinary and certainly there are no bloodstains - or stains of any kind, for that matter. The fare on offer is pretty unremarkable, it's OK, but nothing special and the accommodation offers a little bit of something for everybody - you can choose from large beer garden, conservatory, comfy chairs (by the gas-coal fire), bar stools etc. Popular with locals, pop in if you're in the area, but you wouldn't make an extra special effort to get here.
