Since we were last in, there's been a marked change at the Blythe Hill Tavern. Don't worry, it's still a great boozer but now it's a great boozer with five real ales on the taps! The selection included two from Sussex's Dark Star brewery as well as Adnam's Stout. There's still decent Guinness and racing on the tellies, and the friendly locals and staff are worth the trip alone. The walls are covered in golfing pictures and ephemera - we even spotted an oil painting of the great Lester Piggott. Traditional Irish music sessions happen on Thursdays, and there's a pub quiz on Mondays. The sort of place where an afternoon could happily fly by, it comes recommended.

The best pub for miles. A friendly local with selection of real ales. Great service. Sport on TV. Irish music on Thursdays. A real local with beer garden.
