Bull & Gate, Tufnell Park
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is a traditional Irish boozer with no pretensions, no knickknacks, no gastro-fare - it's just an honest boozer in a fine old Victorian pub. Lovely interior, friendly staff and tolerant locals, and a nice drop of the black stuff - what more could you ask for? It does Bass as well as Guinness, which is a bit of a surprise, but a nice surprise. The back room has played host to live bands for many a year now, too and the friendly old gents behind the bar take all comers in their stride. What more can we say, it's a refreshing place in these times and we're glad it hasn't changed in years.
